Ascend Building Renovations was founded by Matthew Anderson, who began his career through a traditional painting and decorating apprenticeship straight after leaving school. During his training, Matthew went on to win a CITB SkillBuild competition, recognising both technical skill and attention to detail.
After qualifying, he worked for a housing association and later for a property developer and landlord, where he expanded his skill set to include plastering, damp-related repairs and broader renovation work. Alongside this, he achieved an NVQ Level 3 in Painting & Decorating and a Foundation Degree in Construction.
Today, Ascend Building Renovations brings together that hands-on trade background with a practical, organised way of working. From first contact to completion, the focus is on clear advice, tidy workmanship and finishes that stand up over time.
We help homeowners, landlords and businesses improve and maintain their properties through professional painting, decorating and plastering services.
Our work covers interior and exterior decorating, plastering and wall repairs, plasterboard and ceiling work, damp and mould repairs, and full property refreshes for rental and commercial spaces.
